Pin Basted and Ready to Quilt

A couple of weeks ago I posted a photograph of a quilt top that was missing the final border. The border is now on and I have it pin basted, ready to quilt. It always amazes me how this design changes with the addition of a simple border.

Half Hexagons
I also pulled out a top that was finished at least 6 or 7 years ago. Time to work on some of those UFO's. So this guy also got pinned. I hope to have a productive weekend machine quilting.

And then we had another snow storm on Monday!!! It stuck a bit, melted the next day. I really am hoping that is the final snowstorm for the season.

Asparagus Souffle
And I baked a souffle this week!  I haven't made one in years. They really are not that difficult, just labor intensive.  It was good!

  1. The asparagus souffle looks scrumptious. They really are easier to make than one might think.
I agree, each new addition can radically change a quilt. The brown border creates a tension and balance between the yellow blocks and the brown ones.

  3. The quilts are fabulous, but I have to confess too that I am so impressed with the soufle!

  4. Oooh - a souffle, looks yummy and looks so impressive. Probably a bit like the eclair cases I sometimes whip up - they always look harder to make than they really are!!

  6. I really like your Helga top and the half hexagons is really pretty. I have yet to work much with hexagons but they are on the list. Thanks for linking up with this week's TGIFF.
