I wonder if this could turn into an art quilt piece on its own? |

More blocks. |

I seem to remember that these were fun to make. |
I pulled out a bag full of blocks that I had made in a
Sandi Cummings class at Asilomar, probably 2005. I haven't played with these since class. Looking through the blocks, I think I have several projects going on here. We did several different free form cutting lessons during the week.
I really enjoy free form cutting, so this class was very good for me. No idea why I never pursued any of these projects. But since I am trying to get some of my UFO's finished up, I think that this is a good couple of quilts that will be fun to play with , piecing and quilting.
This is my Off the Wall post for the week, check out what everyone else is doing at
Nina-Marie's blog.
This looks like it will be a great quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun you are having! I lived in CA for 25 years, but was always busy working. I would have loved to go to Asilomar. I guess I'll have to treat myself some year soon! Loved the colors in these blocks. I hope you will share once you have completed something from them. See me on Off the Wall, also!
ReplyDeleteohhhh these look like they have as much potential as my crosses - I bet they'll make some really cool layouts - plus I've found the improve piecing and setting very relaxing!
ReplyDeleteLove improv piecing, and these look like fun. Keep us posted on what you do with them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! They really do look like a lot of fun! I really love the 9 patches that got cut up twice. They are awesome. I can't wait to see what you do with all of them.
ReplyDeleteLove these wonky 9 patches. I am now inspired...
